The Notre Dame cathedral in Paris is a Gothic-style
cathedral built in the 14th century. It's well-known in part because of Victor Hugo's The Hunchback of Notre Dame, which he wrote to try
and gather support for the cathedral's restoration. The tall stone arches and stained glass inside are some of
the most famous icons of Gothic architecture.
